Zambia - Demonstrating the strength of paper-based furniture

Just how strong is APT?

This small table is made from waste cardboard and paper. The process is called appropriate paper-based technology or APT. The picture was taken in Zambia during a course for people to learn APT. The strength of the table comes from the careful layering and pasting of many layers of paper and card and also from the design of the supports.
